Stabilizers or Sacrifices?

Reflective agents — high in μ, the reappraisal capacity — sit at the network's hubs, absorbing grievance cascades that would otherwise propagate. Each act of reappraisal drains their ξ reservoir; sustained holding without idle recovery pushes them below the burnout threshold. Once burnt out, their effective μ collapses and the very cascades they buffered now flow through them. Are keystones community stabilizers, or sacrificial fuses?
