Cut-and-Project Method:
Quasicrystals are generated by projecting a slice of a higher-dimensional periodic lattice onto a lower-dimensional space at an "irrational" angle.
The acceptance window determines which lattice points are included. Points whose perpendicular projection falls within this window are projected to form the tiling.
Unlike periodic crystals, quasicrystals never repeat but maintain long-range order, exhibiting forbidden symmetries like 5-fold or 12-fold.
