About the Brunsviga

The Brunsviga was a pinwheel calculator manufactured in Braunschweig, Germany starting in 1892. Its design was based on Odhner's patent.

To multiply: set the multiplicand on the input sliders, then turn the crank once for each digit of the multiplier. Use carriage shift to move to the next decimal position, just as you would shift when doing long multiplication by hand.
