The Bohlen-Pierce Scale

Instead of dividing the octave (2:1), the BP scale divides the tritave (3:1) into 13 equal steps of ~146.3 cents each.

Its consonant chord is 3:5:7 instead of 4:5:6. It sounds alien yet strangely beautiful -- like music from another dimension.
